Chavonne A. (She/Her)

Cara Collective - Chicago

After spending time in a recovery home, Chavonne came back into the main-stream with a fresh perspective on life. She has since partnered with Cara Chicago and been set up with a new job, home, and other resources to give her the support she needs to make a new way for herself!

“Cara [Collective] Chicago is great! I got connected with them while I was in a recovery home that they were affiliated with. They helped [me] get stable employment, they helped with clothes, a CTA pass, the furniture bank experience - everything. I was able to get my life back.”

“I really love everything, especially the love seat in my office - it really stands out. The movers did a great job arranging everything and even set up my bed for me! So that was awesome, but honestly I was just happy to get a bed.”

“Our organization has worked with you before, but this is personally my first time here. All I can say is that I’m really impressed with everything. There’s so much nice [furniture] to choose from. […] I wish more people knew about this service.”
