“I just love Chicago Furniture Bank for donating the furniture to me. I feel much better. Everything is beautiful. I didn’t know how I was going to get furniture... God bless you all for the donations.”

-Tracey, Renaissance Social Services Client

“I was homeless, unstable and frustrated. I am very grateful to be a client of Sarah’s Circle and the Chicago Furniture Bank. It gave me a sense of appreciation, comfort, and stability. Having a newly furnished home encourages me to look forward to coming home.”

-Josephine, Sarah’s Circle Client

“Here at HOW we have referred dozens of clients to the CFB and have heard nothing but glowing reviews about the process and the end result. Most of our clients enter our housing with little to no belongings. They all are suffering from the traumatic effects of experiencing homelessness. The ability to select furnishing for themselves and their children is an incredibly empowering experience. And we have seen first-hand the dramatic impact that furniture can have in stabilizing and improving the quality of our client’s lives.”

-Mary Coy, Director of Development at Housing Opportunities for Women (HOW)
